Convert your Facebook Retailer Item ID (VIN) to Stock, Make, Model and Year
When creating a bridge from Facebook to your Automotive CRM it may happen that you need to send to your Automotive CRM the Stock, the Make, the Model and/or the Year of the car but you only have the VIN (which in Facebook is called Retailer Item ID).
If this is your case, do not worry, we have the solution.
First, you need to make sure to have a CSV file containing the relationships between the VIN, Stock, Make, Model and Year and make it accessible online.
This is easily achievable as most of the CRM have this functionality.
Note: for more information on how to get this on your CRM contact your CRM support.
This is an example of what the CSV file should look like:
With this file, we can map stock, make, model and year starting from the vin.
To do that we need to use the UTILS » VALUE LOOKUP FROM CSV function on our bridge.
The following image explains how it works:
In the image above we set up the function in order to convert vin to stock. You should then repeat this process for the make, model and year.
The final result should look like this:
This is it!
