Fields Matching is a step of the bridge where you should match the information between the source and the destination fields.
You’ll see a field name with the destination integration’s logo at the top, this indicates the name of the field available on your CRM/tool.
Underneath there’s a box where you may add the information you’d like to send.
- Check each of the destination fields available and match the information you wish to pass along from the source.
- You may type the information manually and pass them as a static value.
- Customize the information using our functions.
- Leave blank the box of a field’s information you don’t want to send through.
It’s also possible to add further fields from the ones available for the destination application.
Head over the “Don’t find a CRM custom field?” box, select the field you’d like to add from the dropdown list and click the Add Custom Field button.
The field will appear above, where you can add the desired information, as per the other ones.
Use the functions to customize information like reformatting dates and times or modifying text, phone numbers and so on. The destination value is the result of a function applied to the source value.
By clicking on a function, the relative editor will pop up. Follow the instructions to proceed.
What to do in case a Custom Field is not available?
When talking about Custom Fields, most integrations here in LeadsBridge retrieve fields dynamically; as long as you have created the fields inside your CRM/platform, they should be available on the Fields Matching step as described above in this article.
However, it could happen that you’re looking for a specific field and you don’t find it available. What to do, then?

|The field has not been created on the CRM/platform yet.||Please create the Custom Field inside your CRM/platform account, then reauthorize the integration here https://leadsbridge.com/app/integrations to force an update of the data retrieved.
If you don’t know how to create Custom Fields, please search for your CRM/platform documentation or contact their support.
|The field has been created but it’s not available on LeadsBridge.||If you already have created the field, please make sure to reauthorize the integration here https://leadsbridge.com/app/integrations to force an update. In most case, it should be enough to load your field as expected.
If the field still doesn’t show up, please open a ticket with our support adding some screenshots of your CRM/platform where we can see the field involved, we’ll be happy to dig in-depth with our technical team.
|The integration has standard fields and it looks like they can’t be modified.||Some integrations have been developed with standard methods and they come with a list of default fields, like the ADF-XML for automotive CRMs, for instance. In those cases, Custom Fields specified by the user are not supported and the field list cannot be modified.

How to split lead’s Full Name into First and Last Name
One common scenario when doing lead gen is that we collect the full name in our forms, but the CRM/platform does have two separate fields, one for the first name and one for the last.
How can we easily overcome this?
Nothing simple, functions are the key here. Let’s see how to do it.
- First of all, head to the Fields Matching step of the bridge (as seen above in the article)
- Search for the CRM/platform field designated to store the First Name
- Click on the box to open the lead’s information dropdown and position yourself to the Functions tab
- Search for the Strings >> First Name function as seen on the example here
- Select the Full Name field, or the field from where you’d like to retrieve the full name information
- Click on Confirm
- Repeat the same steps for the Last Name field
Lead’s creation date (Created Time)
You may have come across the lead’s creation date information while setting up a bridge or checking your leads tables inside the app.
This is the date and time when the lead submitted his data on your lead gen form and it is retrieved dynamically. For instance, it has nothing to do with their birthday, or any other personal lead’s information.
It may be useful to pass this information to your CRM/email/sheet, for example, if you’d like to call your leads at almost the same hour, when they may be more available, or to analyze your lead gen campaign efforts.
This created_time field is available inside the source data dropdown, as you can see on the screenshot below. Match it with one of the fields that best suits the information and that’s it!
