A CSV file is a type of file used to store your contacts data from different sources, such as your email marketing software, CRM, etc. For example, by downloading a CSV file of your leads, you can upload these data on other tools in order to better manage your follow up and sales processes. CSVs contain information separated by commas, saved in a .csv format.

CSV files can be used with any spreadsheet program, such as Microsoft Excel, Open Office Calc, or Google Spreadsheets. However, with CSVs you can’t define or save cells, columns, or rows. Moreover, you can’t save formulas.

CSVs are also used for managing ecommerces for importing and exporting product, customer, and order information.

Google Merchant Center is the Google platform that allows users to upload the products of a site directly to the Google Search Engine to advertise them. When this happens, users can see the products when they search for the keywords associated with the products and set with the Google Ads program for paid ads.

The Google Merchant Center platform and the Google Ads platform allow you to configure Google Shopping campaigns, the tool with which Google displays product data sheets based on keywords and the economic value attributed by the advertiser to those words.

Google decides when to show ads based on-site and offers to determine which search queries trigger the ads. Google Merchant Center also offers sellers many benefits, such as attracting many more customers and reaching potential buyers who are already looking for that product on Google.
