Connect WhatCounts integration

  1. Head over to the left sidebar and click on Integrations
  2. Click on the Add New button
  3. Enter a recognizable name for your integration
  4. Click on the Browse button
  5. Select "WhatCounts" from the providers list
  6. Click on the Next button
  7. Enter Domain, Username and Password to connect WhatCounts with LeadsBridge
  8. Click on the Finish button

How to get the Domain, Username and Password

The Domain represents the URL you use to connect to your WhatsCount account.
If you leave it blank, the default api.whatcounts.com will be used.

In the Username field, you should type your WhatCounts Realm name.

Finally, to get the Password, you should follow the steps below:
  1. Go to CUSTOMER CENTER » API MANAGEMENT » SETUP API.
  2. Copy the current API Password. If there is no password, click GENERATE PASSWORD.

How can I select the lead format?

Add the formatID Custom Field in the Field Matching step of your bridge and enter the value accordingly to these settings:
  • Set Format Id to 1 to subscribe a lead as Plain Text
  • Set Format Id to 2 to subscribe a lead as HTML
  • Set Format Id to 99 to subscribe a lead as Multipart MIME
Complete the bridge steps to re-publish it.

Please note: If the format is not specified, the value of the field is equal to 1 which stands for Plain Text

How do I add Custom Fields?

To add Custom Fields, you should go into your WhatCounts integration settings and type your Custom Field names in the Custom Fields text box.

How can I subscribe again to a subscriber who has already opted out?

To subscribe again to a subscriber who has already opted out, go into the Fields Mapping step and map the Force Sub field with the value 1.
In this way, all the contacts that the Bridge will sync will be subscribed to your list.

How to add Custom Fields with WhatCounts integration?

Custom fields for this integration should be added manually. Please follow the steps below to add additional Custom Fields that you can match on the bridge settings.

  1. Open your integration settings.
  2. Head to the Custom Fields field.
  3. Enter the field ID as stated in WhatCounts. This is required in order to sync data correctly.
    Please note: the field needs to be already available (created) inside your system.
  4. Repeat for each field you'd like to add.
  5. Click Finish to make the configuration effective.

You'll find those Custom Fields, available to be matched, inside the "Fields Mapping" step of the bridge.
